Home Wall Décor: The Right Painting Can Make Or Break A Theme
If there’s a painting you truly love, you can use it as a great inspiration to make a theme to your room or home that can capture the mood or feel of the painting? Sound challenging? It’s not really, as Marcus explains, and it’s one of the best ways to add comfort and peace to your home:
Decorating is so much fun for me! When I decorated my house I did my absolute best with my creative side. I chose all the decorating that I did in my house based on one painting that I had bought at a Target store. The painting was an abstract canvas with some different colors on it. I looked at the painting for a while and decided to get my inspiration for the wall color in my living room from this painting. The color I ultimately chose was yellow. I really wanted a fun and happy color so I thought that yellow was perfect! As I moved on to the rest of the decoration I chose to go with more neutral colors because the walls were so bright. My furniture was chocolate brown so I decided to go with sheer chocolate brown curtains. At this point I thought I need to add another splash of color so I took more inspiration from the painting and added some red lamps to put on my end tables. The red added an even more modern and sleek look to the room! My coffee table and end tables are glass so this also adds to the sleek design of my decorating. There is nothing more that I love than pictures! I bought some of the coolest picture frames to hang on my walls and added all of my favorite memories as a final touch to my living room. I absolutely love it! It is bright and fun but still very inviting and comfortable. It puts me in a good mood every time I am in that room! I owe all of decorating inspiration to one simple painting too! After decorating my living room I decided to go the same route with the other rooms of my house. I picked an object of inspiration for each room and went from there. I have found that this was very fun and very effective for some very unique and creative decorating ideas! I would certainly recommend this idea and I would definitely do it again!
